The annual Parrtjima – A Festival in Light event returns to Alice Springs Desert Park in 2019.
Now in its fourth year, the festival has become a much-anticipated celebration of the Aboriginal art of Central Australia. Parrtjima is the only Aboriginal light festival of its kind and proudly showcases the oldest continuous culture on earth through the newest technology.
Coinciding with the UN International Year of Indigenous Languages, the festival will operate under the theme of ‘Language Expressions’, shining a light on the beauty and complexities of Central Australia’s vast network of Indigenous languages.
