We will be giving an overview of the main activity in the leisure sector last year and discussing trends in the industry and what has been affecting it.
We will also be looking at the prospects for the coming year.
Speakers
Rob Howarth, is Director of Leisure Agency at Jones Lang LaSalle. He has over 12 years experience of the leisure property sector, having advised some of the leading developers, landlords and operators. His development and agency experience includes high profile schemes such as The Printworks, The Gate, and the MetroCentre. Rob's main operator focus is on large space leisure occupiers such as cinema, casinos, and bowling.
James Welch, Cortex Partners. James created the Leisure Group within Jones Lang LaSalle in 1993. In 2001 he became head of the Out of Town Retail and Leisure Investment Team. James left JLL in September 2003 to co-found Cortex Partners. He continues to deal mainly within the Leisure and Retail Warehouse sectors with clients including X-Leisure, Vue Cinemas, Chester Properties, Capital and Counties.
Polly Troughton, Chairman of the Leisure Property Forum and Property Director of X-Leisure, a position she has held for the last 10 years. X-leisure are the UKs largest dedicated leisure landlord with over £0.5billion of leisure property within their portfolio.
